Comprehensive Dental Services
Our dental services cover a wide range of needs for your teeth, from preventative to cosmetic to replacement. Please read below for descriptions of what we provide:
Exams & Cleanings
We strongly recommend bi-annual cleanings and exams for our patients to stay on top of their oral health. During an exam, Dr. Reiser will do a thorough assessment for signs of decay, damage, and an oral cancer screening. While performing your cleaning, one of our hygienists will scale, polish, and floss your teeth in order to help prevent oral disease and promote overall health.
Fillings
Fillings prevent tooth decay from spreading or correct aesthetic damage. After using a drill and other instruments to clean out the decay and remove the damaged tissue from a tooth, we fill the cavity with the filling material to restore the structure and seal out the risk of further damage.
Crowns, Bridges, & Veneers
For damaged, decayed, or missing teeth, crowns, bridges, and veneers are excellent options. A veneer is a thin sheet that covers the front of a front tooth to resolve flaws like chips, cracks, discoloration, and even gaps between teeth. A crown is modeled to look and function almost exactly like your natural tooth. After a tooth is prepared, the crown is fabricated to fit precisely over the remaining tooth structure to restore your smile and bite and prevent further damage. A bridge replaces one or more missing teeth by affixing to the adjacent teeth to hold a crown in place where the teeth are missing.
Teeth Whitening
Get fast, effective, and long-lasting teeth whitening by having it done professionally. A whitening agent is put in trays and placed onto your teeth for a certain amount of time to penetrate the enamel and significantly whiten your teeth. Over the counter kits don’t have the same consistent success as going to your dentist.
Invisalign®
Invisalign® is a wonderful alternative to traditional braces. The clear plastic aligners place the necessary pressure to move your teeth to the correct positions over time. They’re virtually invisible while you’re wearing them, and you can remove the aligners for eating, brushing, or dental appointments. Dr. Reiser puts together a full plan of aligners to achieve a perfect smile.
Dentures
While we strive to preserve your natural teeth, dentures may be necessary when several or all of your teeth are lost. A denture is custom-made for a precise fit to fully restore your teeth and give you back your bite.
Extractions
In some cases of malocclusion, disease, or issues with function, Dr. Reiser might need to extract a tooth or teeth for treatment. He uses sedation and/or a local anesthetic to ensure your comfort, and then he carefully extracts the tooth. If necessary, Dr. Reiser can suture the gums to close the surgery site, so it heals properly.
Dental Implants
Dental implants are an effective and permanent way to replace a missing tooth or teeth. During the first appointment, Dr. Reiser assesses your individual needs and recommends a course of action. He then may attach a replacement tooth or a bridge, depending on the number of teeth being replaced. Dental implants restore your missing teeth and preserve the jawbone and surrounding teeth.
Night Guards
If you have issues with bruxism or jaw clenching, it can accelerate the deterioration of your jaw and teeth. Dr. Reiser will make a custom-fit night guard to keep your teeth from grinding and clenching while you sleep.
Sleep Apnea
Botox®
For TMJ disorders that include migraines, clenching, and bruxism, we use Botox® as a treatment option to alleviate these issues. By injecting it into the temporalis and masseter muscles, Botox® weakens them and relaxes the activity for relief from the tension, pain, and the actions that cause them.
